Frontal view of my DBA Marian Roman army. Notice the camp in the background. 15mm Essex Side view of my DBA Marian Romans. 15mm Essex Top-down view of my Marian Romans. 15mm Essex DBA Nikephorian Byzantinne troops guard a river crossing. 15mm Essex
Another view of the Nikephorian Byzantinne troops. 15mm Essex Another view of Nikephorian Byzantinne troops. Note the makeshift camp in the background, including mtd. officer and slingers to represent the camp followers (in this case guards really). 15mm Essex A DBA Norman army of 1066 era. Note the crossbows on the left flank. 15mm Essex Another view of the Normans. This time a close up of the miles along with some bowmen (Psiloi in DBA terms). 15mm Essex.
Close up of DBA early Spartans. Note that the shields lack any device (somthing I still have yet to get around to). The shields would be decorated in random fashion much like other Greek states. The early Spartans did not use the much seen V device (this was commmon much later). Creten archers lead the way. 15mm Essex Another view of the Spartans. 15mm Essex Poor lighting made this picture a tad too dark. A DBA battle between Polybian Romans and Seleucids (circa 200 BC). This is the view from directly behind the Roman lines. Ahead can be seen the Selucids including phalanx troops and an elephant. 15mm Essex Same battle, Romans vs Seleucids. Again poor lighting conditions. 15mm Essex
Same battle, Romans vs Seleucids. This time from the seleucid line. The Seleucid cav and celt allies are trying to break through the Roman left near the BUA. The Roman front lines on the rright are pinned down by camels and phalanx. Poor lighting conditions once again. 15mm Essex Same battle, Romans vs Seleucids. This time a close up of the Seleucid phalanx, from the rear. POOR lighting conditions once more. 15mm Essex.
