Munich Trip

The bridge up there is Marienbruecke. That is the vantage point from which we too the second picture of Neuschwanstein on the previous page. It was scary to walk up there -- it sort of swayed and moved every time someone jumped on it hard.

This is the grand entrance to Neuschwanstein (no, it's not all white!).

This is the dizzying view when you look straight down from Marienbruecke.
Fuessen was a small town. We took the train to it and then walked the rest of the way to the castles. We happened to have a very nice dinner there at the end of the day as well which was good because we were pretty cold and tired at that point. In any case, my favorite part about Fuessen was all the painting on the buildings. This church is a good example although it was everywhere. You don't have shutters and you want them? Paint 'em on! Same with bricks!
