Munich

These pictures were taken on our first day in Munich when we walked over to the Englischer Garten,

a huge park that goes on and on and on. We walked for a good while but we only actually managed to

explore a small corner of it.

Apparently the locals learned to surf in the river from some Americans (Californians) who were hanging out in Munich while they waited to go home after WWII.

Well I think this is self-explanatory. When in Bavaria...drink really big beers!

This part was really surreal. Looks like a Chinese pagoda, right? Except you have to imagine that about halfway up the tower there was an oompa band playing and on the ground floor of the pagoda they were vending those huge beers that Matt and I have. Talk about culture clash!
Beer as big as my head. And that was a normal size, too.
