Rennes-le-Chateau Mystery

This is the entrance to the lavish church built by Sauniere when he shouldn't have had any money to build anything. The church was built after Sauniere mysterious discovery.

 
Here is the Tour Magdala, another part of Sauniere's substantial building project which included the church.
These angels are above the holy water as you enter the church. The text below them says 'By this sign, you will conquer him.' The angel in the front is pointing down.
Below the angles and holding up the holy water is this demon creature. Why? Who knows... These are the only pictures that I'll post from inside the church as the others all came out pretty blurry. If you want to see more you'll just have to visit for yourself!
