Le Parc de la Tete D'Or
This is a very large park in Lyon with lots of walking/biking/scootering/rollerblading paths, lots of open grass where people sit/gather/play music/etc as well as gardens (including the large rose garden and even a large greenhouse), a playground for kids, a lake, a small zoo and generally lots of beauty and people watching.
