Les Places de Lyon

(a 'place' is an open square in the city)

Place des Terreaux -- that sculpture is by the guy who did the Statue of Liberty. The lighting here is beautiful at night. And check out that Subway in the background -- nice product placement, eh?
Hotel de Ville (City Hall) -- this is on one side of Place des Terreaux. All those little water spouts glow at night!
Place des Jacobins -- just a good landmark. Also: Place de la Republique was on the main page linking you to the Lyon page.
Place Bellecour -- it looks boring but it's the largest place in France (possibly Europe). There are trees and cafes in it, I just couldn't fit them in the picture. They use this big area for protests or, as on the day after I took this picture, Boule tournaments.
