Amsterdam

When I think of Amsterdam I will remember four things above everything else: bikes, canals, leaning buildings, and the red light district.

The streets were literally clogged with bicycles and many people had these adorable little seats on their handlebars for their kids. Some even had windshields for the little seats.
The whole city center was ringed with a number of canals, many of which were really pretty.
This was hard to get a good picture of, but can you see how that building on the left side in the middle is leaning out well in front of the one next too it (look at the top of the building compared to the bottom)? The whole city is built on reclaimed land so there were buildings standing at crazy angles all over the place.
So they apparently look down on picture-taking in the red light district (at least of the interesting stuff!) but really, seeing these poles upon exiting it seems a little inappropriate. And don't give me that look, you would think the same thing after seeing all those sex shops!
