Logging at Eagle Cliff

Building site prep. Spring 2004

Olson Logging moved in and it only took about 4 hours to cut 95% of the trees.

Loading up log trucks; I believe we had one load of saw logs and 4 or 5 loads
of pulp logs.

Our neighbor and good friend Lemmie Rockford had graciously
offered to do the dirt work for us.  Here he is working at removing
one of several Maple stumps.  Mike, one of his mechanics,
(in foreground) came by to help us put a track back on.

Same stump after he pushed it out of the ground.

Looking toward our temporary driveway

This is the stump and root wad left from an alder that we pulled over last
night with the help of  Lemmie and two of his employees,  Champ & Isaac.

Looking back toward the house,  new driveway on the left, still have to remove three
hemlocks on the hill and the clump of maple just above the tractor.
