Building Construction
Mike Stone, our contractor, started construction in August while Sue and I were on vacation in British Columbia. The person responsible for the final grading of the building pad (me) wasn't as precise as one could have hoped, so Mike had to make some adjustments prior to pouring the slab and footings. The slab is 6 inch reinforced concrete and the building is made up of 2 by 6 inch walls and roof trusses, and the siding and roof are painted steel.
This is what the building looked like when we arrived home from British Columbia.
Soon Mike had the roof trusses up.
and the insulation and siding on
and the gutters up
Then we decided to make some additional improvements inside
a 12 ft. by 28 ft. room upstairs
a wall down the center and stairway up
with a shop area on the other side
Mike and his crew completed their work and it is time to see if this thing is going to fit.
Looks like a good fit to me
