Dave's 2003Midwest 914 Meet

The 2003 Mid West 914 Meet was a overwhelming success! I expected 50 914er's and I got 33 with their 914's and 15 without for various reasons .i.e. repairs, rebuilding, that's 48 in my book. The quality of the cars present was outstanding. All 33 drove to the meet. No one trailered in, not to say that's not O.K. it is. I wanted to acknowledge the work of the 914er's present, Amazing! We had one mishap on the way home one guy lost a clutch cable. Sooooo that earns him a free admission to the 2004 meet. (The hard way)

The long distance trophy was won by Bruce Napier from Winnipeg Manitoba. He had to pick up parts so he and his son Reid came in their pickup. Next year Bruce, Let's see if the 914 will be ready to make it. Wouldn't that be amazing?

As I said, "The quality of the 914 present was amazing! They ranged from top notch show quality, to beautiful daily drivers.” The date and location of next years meet is not set at this time. I am hoping for the same place on either Aug. 8th or 15th. That date all depends on when the Lucas County Fair event is held.

My sincere thanks to all who attended for making it the success it was. And to all the guy's who stepped up to volunteered to help and did. Information will update here often so check back often. 

THE GOAL FOR 2004 IS 75!
