Denny has been performing for more than 30 years, and has been in the Virginia Beach area for eight. He's played coffee shops to arena stages for audiences of three to 3,000. His bands have opened for artists like the Charlie Daniels Band, Firefall, Atlanta Rhythm Section and Joe Bonamossa.

He currently performs with the SpeedBumps Band and the Natives, among others, and his acoustic alter-ego performs in Slippin' & Slidin', a duo with Dobroist/guitarist Mike McCracken and solo as Denny Fohringer, Itinerant guitarist in the Tidewater area. He is also the guitarist/bassist in the New Glory Worship Team at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Virginia Beach, and has also worked as a pit guitarist in musical theater.

In addition to performing, Denny teaches guitar and bass at Quality Music in Great Bridge and Ego Music in Virginia Beach.

STILL GOT THE BLUES
I was with Root 66, and we were at Boneshakers at the time of this recording. This is the first time we'd done the song "out." A little excitement at the beginning, the camera lights got in my eyes a bit, and the audio and video are slightly out-of-sync, but that's rock 'n' roll!

BLUE VELVET
From an open mic with a group of regulars at Goodfellas in Hampton. It's a testament to the other musicians that they hung with the changes on this song (TOTALLY unrehearsed), including the key change at the end. It's more complicated than the usual three-chord open mic fodder! Mike Williams on bass, Eric Shaw on accordion, Lee Boyd on drums.
