As clergy approached representatives
  ...in legislature environ,

To urge minimum wages for toilers on migrant farms,

Amazed clerk, having seen nothing like this before:

Why are you clergy parading on legislature floor?

We are lobbying for minimum wages, came the reply;

Shaking her head in puzzlement, she uttered a sigh.

Then after conversing with a group of teachers,

She brightly exclaimed:
  ...You seek minimum wages for preachers!
