Initially, Wales was simply a place to stop on the road from England to Ireland, but after paying a visit to some places that sounded interesting in their Let's Go guidebook, Dave and Ku now look back on their time in Wales as perhaps the best leg of their journey (except for the night they had to sleep in the coldest train station on earth). They saw the longest-named village in Britain (formerly the world), and visited the towns of Caernarfon and Llanberis in the Snowdonia region:
