As an information specialist, I keep the needs, expectations, and background of the audience in mind:
  • Whether writing, editing, or producing online content, FAQ sites, interviews, and promotional material.
  • While developing standards and procedures to create and update end-user support material, documentation, staff manuals, and help files.
  • When designing, coding, and maintaining reference and community sites, both internal and public.

Nine years of web design, management, editing, and production from my home office

I know what's involved in running a business, scheduling time, and delivering results—and I've learned how to work collaboratively across distances and timezones:
  • Staying in touch—regularly, reliably, daily—with clients and team members.
  • Meeting multi-level site-building deadlines along with daily update and maintenance requirements.
  • Recruiting, managing, and training staff and volunteers.
  • Designing, developing, and moderating staff and community sites.
