Cheeseheads look to the future
while preserving the past

On Saturday, January 22nd, 2000,  Green Bay Packers President Bob Harlan
announced the Packers' plan to renovate historic Lambeau Field.

He used a light pointer to highlight just one thing - the green
grass playing field.  "A good deal of money is going into saving that
part of the park," Harlan said.  Among the highlights of the $295 million plan
are the addition of 8,000 seats - up to 4,000 of which will be made available to the
general public each game - more concessions, a new Packer Hall of
Fame, more restrooms (WooHoo!) and a larger concourse.

"We are going to build the stadium that the rest of the National
Football League wished they had," he said.
